#Bagda-Dublagadi
Located at a distance of 240 km from Kolkata, in the Odisha coast, Bagda-Dublagadi (ବାଗଡା ଡବଲାଗଡି) has a blend of a beautiful long beach and the calmness of nature. The thick layer of casurina forests is lined up along the white sand beach and insulates it from the villages.
It was a small relief from the extremely humid 'Heat Island' of Kolkata..to spend a couple of days at the pristine sea beach of Bagda-Dublagadi and enjoy the pleasant sea breeze.
A number of camp type accommodations have come up at this remote village of Odisha coast. We choose our stay at the luxury AC Cottage of My Eco Camp. One has to cross a 200-300m thick layer of Sand dunes and casurina forests to reach the sea shore from the camps. The sea beach remains lonely most of the times. When the sea rolls back the beach is full of sea shells and red crabs. Away from the madness and the crowd Bagda-Dublagadi is a perfect place to spend a leisure time in the loneliness of the nature.
How to Go:
# 240km from Kolkata. It takes a 5-6 hrs drive to reach Bagda-Dublagadi from Kolkata.
# If you avail public transport, take a train from Howrah/ Shalimar to Baleshwar.
(Preferred trains: Faluknama Exp - Departure from Howrah 8-30, Arrival at Baleshwar 11-38/ Dhauli Exp - Departure from Shalimar 9-15, Arrival at Baleshwar 12-50).
From Baleshwar station hire an Auto or a Car to reach Bagda Dublagadi in around 1 hr. It is 32 km away from Baleshwar.

Bagda is a coastal village in Odisha, where it started with 2-3 camp type accommodation for tourists, Now there are around 20 nos. of Camps, Hotels and Resorts.
We stayed at My Eco Camp, which started 3 years back, but one of the oldest camps here.
